Minimbah Road, Northbridge

This water front site is located on the southern edge of Sailors Bay, Northbridge in Sydney Australia.

The building occupies the position of an original dwelling that established a range of planning provisions for the new project.

The site is extremely steep however it provides level car access at street level with inclinator  access to the house and the waterfront.

The curved building form faces north and is a response to a panoramic view of the whole of Sailors Bay. Curved structural glass balustrading supported on fine stainless steel supports create a dramatic uninterrupted view from the main terrace.

The primary structure is load bearing brickwork and concrete beams and slabs as well as steel pergola and framing details. The roof is made up of a number of elements being concrete with stone ballast covering, steel framed slate roofing with a copper clad  glass ventilated highlight running though the centre of the house.

A free form wet edge pool compliments the building on the lower level of the project all set in landscaped setting.

A wonderful place to live.
