This waterfront site is located on the eastern foreshore of Pittwater north of Sydney, Australia.
The site is extremely steep however it provides level car access at street level with inclinator access to the waterfront. Part of an existing structure has been retained.
The primary structure is concrete, Zeggo retaining walls have been used to isolate retaining from the in-situ concrete walls and slabs, large single level concrete floor plates are a feature of the design for this steep site.
A cantilevered , suspended plunge pool and service areas are located on the lower level. The base concrete provides the support for other steel and plywood elements. Off form concrete finishes are an internal feature of the design.
Aesthetically it’s where industrial meets the beach.
